Industry: Château Aude 2024–2025 Château Saint-Joseph
How a château in the Aude won 32 qualified leads in its first year online
A reception venue is toured before it is booked, and this château proves it. In the Aude, in one year, the tour brought 32 qualified leads, one visitor in two coming back, 40% of in-person visits avoided and 38% of visitors from abroad.
- +32

In brief
- The client
- Château Saint-Joseph, a 19th-century residence in the Aude.
- The problem
- An online presentation that lacked immersion, and a client base limited by distance.
- The solution
- A 360° virtual tour of the state rooms, the orangery and the bedrooms.
- The result
- 32 qualified leads in a year, 40% of in-person visits avoided and 38% of visitors from abroad.
Context
A 19th-century residence devoted to major events in the heart of the Aude
Nestled in the heart of the Aude, Château Saint-Joseph is a late 19th-century residence that caters for two demanding audiences: couples looking for a wedding venue and companies organising corporate events and receptions. State rooms, spacious reception halls, an orangery, a cinema room, leisure areas: its strengths can be counted room by room.
The estate also offers four-star accommodation (charming holiday cottages and historic bedrooms) and fine dining rooted in local produce. A venue like this is rarely chosen from a brochure; it has to be seen. That is where the château hit its limits, as its clients came mainly from among those who could make the trip.
How to widen the château’s catchment area?
The château had everything it needed to attract clients from beyond its region. But its online presentation did justice neither to the richness nor to the prestige of the venue, and its client base remained limited by distance.
- An online presentation that lacked immersion: the visuals conveyed neither the volume of the state rooms nor the atmosphere of the residence.
- Distant clients who need proof: wary of scams, upmarket organisers want to view the venue remotely.
To win over this demanding audience, especially internationally, it needed an immersive, reliable and engaging tool.
The solution
Showing the estate remotely just as on site
The project started with a listening phase: target clients, weddings and corporate events alike, average spend, goals, spaces to showcase and a tone suited to the prestige of the venue. The cinema room, the dining room, the double bedrooms and the orangery were then captured in 360°. The route follows the order of a site visit. You arrive through reception, discover the spaces where the event will take place, from the dining room to the orangery, and finish with the bedrooms, just as a couple or an organiser would on site. The tour was added to the château’s website, its social media and its Google presence.

Results
One year of the tour, a wider catchment area
The results cover 2024-2025, the first year the tour was shared. Where visitors come from is telling: 61% from France, 25% from the United States and 13% from the United Kingdom. International clients explore the château without crossing the Atlantic. In total, features were used 3,700 times.
+32
qualified leads
Generated in a year: for an events venue, every contact can turn into a wedding or a corporate event.
1 in 2
visitors come back
One visitor in two opens the tour several times: choosing a venue takes time.
40%
of in-person visits avoided
The estate’s own estimate, on average: on-site appointments go to prospects who are already won over.
38%
of visitors from abroad
25% of visitors from the United States and 13% from the United Kingdom, against 61% from France.
Conclusion
The château can be toured from the other side of the Atlantic
Distance is no longer a barrier. The presentation lacked immersion: the state rooms, the orangery and the bedrooms can now be explored in 360°, with 1,700 interactions with the tour’s pop-up. Distant clients needed proof: 38% of visitors come from abroad and scout the venue without travelling. With 32 qualified leads in a year and 40% of in-person visits avoided, the estate now spends its time on the most committed clients.
